FileFit Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
FileFit converts and compresses files on your own device. This policy applies to the FileFit apps for Windows, Linux and Android.
What we collect
Nothing. FileFit does not collect, store, send or share any personal information, files, usage data or analytics. It has no accounts, no ads and no tracking.
Update check
When FileFit starts, and when you tap "Check for updates", it asks GitHub (github.com) whether a newer version exists. This request contains no files and no personal information; like any web request, GitHub sees your IP address. On Windows and Linux you can turn the automatic check off in the update window. Downloading an update also comes from GitHub.
Your files
Files you open in FileFit are processed only on your device and are never uploaded. Converted files are saved where you choose. Your original files are not changed.
Permissions
On Android, FileFit asks to read the files you pick and to save the converted copies. It uses the internet only for the update check described above, and never uses the camera, location or contacts.
Children
FileFit collects no data from anyone, including children.
